Maui 2015

Feb. 2, 2015 - Winds are 25 gusting to 35 mph. The south shore of Maui along Kihei is

covered with windsurfers. Some of these surfers will catch jumps over 50 ft. high, then settle back down to the water, landing like a feather.

That's West Maui and Maalaea Harbor in the distance. Way in the distance, under the clouds, is Lanai. Click on the photos for a larger version.

Buzzing the Beach

January 24, 2015 - Kihei gets very little rain - less than 13" per year. After raining on-and-off all day today, we were rewarded with this sight - a rare Kihei rainbow.

January 13, 2015 - I installed underground wiring for an invisible electric dog fence today. The neighborhood kids, featuring Eric as the hero, decided to put on the dog collar and test  the invisible fence. It works, and here's what they thought of it.

Nobody wanted to go second. LOL
